« Lève ton verre en lʼhonneur de ton vieux grand-père. Pour lui porter ce toast : “Hume les roses en chemin.” Nʼoublie pas : tête droite ! Les doigts sur la couture du pantalon et, quand tout le reste a échoué, ris. Tiens bon quand tu es en forme et lâche prise quand il le faut. »
Cʼest par ces mots que sʼachève une lettre laissée à Neal Fox par son grand-père John Watson, et ouverte vingt ans après sa mort. Watson, ancien pilote de bombardier, auteur de romans populaires, animateur de plateau télévisé et éditeur, est devenu à la longue une sorte de personnage totémique et dʼalter ego pour Neal Fox. Avec son manteau et son chapeau noirs, Watson est notre guide pour un voyage dans le temps, lʼespace et la culture pop.

This exhibition celebrates Berlin’s art scene from the 60’s to the present day, marked by a turning point in 1989 with the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is also a tribute to the original life of Michel Würthle, graphic artist, collector and owner of the Paris Bar, located at 152 Kantstrasse in Berlin.
